BYE BYE BIRDIE is one of the most captivating musical shows of our time. A satire done with the fondest affection, Bye Bye Birdie tells the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be inducted into the army, a would-be english teacher turned music producer, his ever-forgiving assistant and the citizens of a small un-expecting Iowa town.

Directed by Jennifer Lloyd, Choreographed by Tysa Curry, and Musically Directed by Angie Knechtel.

Featuring some of your local favorites, a few new faces and an orchestra conducted by Doug Knechtel.

PARADE


Presented by Fine Arts Network and Actors Contemporary Theatre

Parade is a musical with a book by Alfred Uhry and music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown. The musical was first produced on Broadway at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on December 17, 1998. The production was directed by Harold Prince. The musical won Tony Awards for best book and best score (out of nine nominations) and six Drama Desk Awards. The show has enjoyed a U.S. national tour and numerous professional and amateur productions in both the U.S. and abroad.

The musical dramatizes the 1913 trial of Jewish factory manager Leo Frank, who was accused and convicted of raping and murdering a thirteen-year-old employee, Mary Phagan. Frank's wife stands by him in love and faith and eventually, through her perseverance her husbands sentence is commuted.

Actor's Contemporary Theatre production will be staged as a dramatic concert in its entirety.
